Alcanada is a quiet residential area situated around 2km from the centre of Alcudia. It has a four star-rated beach, some excellent restaurants but no bars or nightlife. There is a golf club (a handicap is a requirement of play). There are plenty of bars and first-class restaurants in Alcudia itself, as well as good shopping – don’t miss the Tuesday/Sunday market – and a pleasant Spanish ‘working town’ feel. Although hiring a car isn't a necessity, we'd recommend doing so to enable you to sightsee the Alcudia area
